A clear, step-by-step path through evaluation, decision-making, and — only when truly needed — surgery and recovery. Our office staff guides you at every stage.
You reach out and are scheduled for an appointment with Dr. Dimopoulos or one of our physician assistants. Our staff explains what to bring and what to expect.
Bring prior imaging (MRI, CT, X-rays), previous operative reports, and physician notes. These are uploaded and reviewed so that nothing about your history is missed.
A thorough intake questionnaire helps capture your symptoms, history, and goals, so your evaluation starts from a complete picture.
You are examined and given a treatment plan that lays out the available options. Our philosophy is to reserve surgery as a last resort and to maximize non-surgical treatment first.
If surgery is indicated, the options are explained with an emphasis on achieving the best clinical outcome through the least invasive surgical solution that fits your anatomy.
If you choose to proceed, we advise the appropriate medical clearances and then schedule surgery. Our well-trained office staff guides you through each requirement.
The plan is reviewed again on the day of surgery, and the procedure is performed once everything is confirmed to be in order.
Many less-invasive cases go home the same day; others stay one or two nights, or longer if needed. Our neurosurgical physician assistants see patients daily and guide each step. Discharge may be home or, when appropriate, to rehabilitation.
After discharge, you return for follow-up visits with a physician assistant or with Dr. Dimopoulos to review your progress and support your recovery.
